1949 Press Photo Ezra Van Horn has resigned as trustee of coal miners' fund
This is an original press photo. Ezra Van Horn (left), operators' representative in the coal miners' welfare and retirement fund, has resigned from his post as trustee of the fund it was learned tonight. Van Horn is shown as he left meeting here earlier in day at which it was decided to suspend payments of benefits to miners because of the fund's decreased revenue. Van Horn's letter of resignation, dated Sept. 14, and sent to the coal operators, did not give any reason for his action. Photo measures 6 x 9.25 inches. Photo is dated 09-16-1949.
